Apia's Max Court On The Radar in 2026

Apia Leichardt have been on a clear upward trajectory since lifting their sixth Waratah Cup title in 2024, carrying that momentum into 2026 alongside the rapid rise of Max Court. The midfielder made his senior debut at just 15 and has since emerged as one of the competition’s most exciting young prospects.

That upward trend continued through 2025 as Court’s development accelerated across both club and international football. He impressed for Australia’s U17s, earning three caps and two goals, while also establishing himself at the NPL level. Notably, Court turned down A-League development squads to fast-track his progression in NPL Men’s football, a decision that has further underlined his maturity and long-term upside.

His composure within the senior setup has not gone unnoticed, with international interest reported in November 2025 through third-party links to the Vietnam Football Federation, despite his ongoing commitment to Australia.

Apia’s season begins against Marconi on February 7, followed by Spirit on February 14 and Manly United on February 20. The opening fixtures present an opportunity for Franco Parisi to manage minutes while continuing Court’s exposure as Apia look to build on recent success.

SPECIAL MENTION:
